This page explains which data is processed when you visit gameventory.net. In short: there are no cookies, no ads, no account and no forms. We don't know who you are.

Hosting and server log files

The sites are hosted on a server of 23M GmbH, Johann-Krane-Weg 18, 48149 Münster. With every request, the server automatically stores your IP address, the date and time, the address requested, the page you came from, and your browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the site and protect it against attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The log files are deleted after 7 days. All pages are transferred encrypted (HTTPS).

Cloudflare (gameventory.de only)

gameventory.de is delivered through Cloudflare's network (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). Requests, including your IP address, pass through Cloudflare's servers. This makes the site faster and protects it against attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; transfers to the US rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR).

Visitor statistics with Plausible

We count visitors with Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Västriku tn 2, 50403 Tartu, Estonia), on servers in the EU. Plausible sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and stores no IP addresses. To tell visitors apart, it derives an identifier from the IP address and browser that changes daily and cannot be traced back to you. It records, in aggregate: pages viewed, referring page, country, device type, browser and clicks on links to other sites. This shows us what gets used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Game images from other servers

Your browser loads the games' covers and images directly from the sources' servers: Steam (Valve), GOG, PlayStation (Sony Interactive Entertainment), Amazon, GamerPower and IsThereAnyDeal. These providers receive your IP address and the usual browser information, partly in countries outside the EU such as the US. We have no influence on how they process it. Embedding the images this way is needed to always show the current games (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Links to stores

When you click a game or deal, the store's or provider's page opens, and from then on their privacy policy applies. Links to Epic deals go through IsThereAnyDeal (itad.link).

Saved settings

When you choose a language or a price region, your browser remembers it in its local storage (localStorage). This stays on your device and is not sent to us. Only what you choose yourself is stored (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete it at any time in your browser's settings.

Contact by email

If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and delete them once the matter is settled. The mailbox is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin.

Storage periods and whether you have to provide data

We keep data only as long as its purpose requires; the periods are given in the sections above. You don't have to give us any data, but without the technical information your browser sends with every request, the site can't be displayed. There is no automated decision-making and no profiling.

Your rights

At any time and free of charge, you have the right to

• access the data we process about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
• have incorrect data rectified (Art. 16 GDPR),
• have your data erased (Art. 17 GDPR),
• restrict processing, for example while it is checked whether your data is correct or whether your objection is justified (Art. 18 GDPR),
• data portability, i.e. to receive your data in a common, machine-readable format (Art. 20 GDPR).

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): All processing on this site is based on our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object to it at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process your data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

An email to the address above is enough for all of this. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU country where you live or work or where the alleged infringement took place (Art. 77 GDPR).
